LBS Foundation Donated RM80,000 Education Fund to Genovasi University College

LBS Foundation donated RM80,000 to Genovasi University College for their education fund which also known as Genovasi Hardship Scholarship Fund. The cheque was presented by Tan Sri Lim Hock San to Prof Dr James Nga, the President of Genovasi University College, witnessed by Dato’ Dr Siew Ka Wei the Founder Chairman of Genovasi University College. This fund will be used to help underprivileged students to continue their studies there.

The handover of cheque was held at Genovasi University College.

BS Foundation sponsored the Program Apesiasi Puisi dalam KOMSAS that was held on 21 Jun 2019, 8pm – 10:30pm at SMK Dato’ Haron, Tanjung Karang. This programme is initiated by PUSPANITA Kuala Selangor with the aim to nurture the students’ interest in literature component as well as develop students’ confidence in communication through poetry. The invited speakers are well-known and well-experienced in poetry and literature namely Siso Kopratasa, Mohamad Shahidan and Isnin Tawab. Event photos as below.

Hospis Malaysia 18th Annual Charity Treasure Hunt

LBS Foundation is the Platinum Sponsor of Hospis Malaysia 18th Annual Charity Treasure Hunt, with contribution amount of RM30,000.
This event serves as an important platform to raise awareness on the importance of palliative care.

This year hunt was held in conjunction of Palliative Care Awareness Month, in efforts to inspire patients to speak up about what matters to them when faced with a life-limiting illness.

Star Step Up Education Program

With a sponsorship of RM60,000, which is equivalent to 60,000 copies Newspaper-in-Education (NiE) pullout, LBS Foundation treats 134 schools to all the benefits of reading “Step Up” for a whole year.

“Step Up” serves as reading material and a teaching tool that enhance pupils learning experience.

Star Media Group Bhd adviser Datuk Seri Wong Chun Wai was on hand to receive the mock cheque during a ceremony at SJKC Tun Tan Siew Sin.

Catholic High School Table Tennis Tournament – Tan Sri Lim Hock San Cup

A total of 53 teams from 31 schools in Selangor and Melaka participated in the 2 days tournament which was fully sponsored by LBS Foundation.

Conjunction with World Down Syndrome Day

In conjunction with World Down Syndrome Day which is observed on 21 March every year The Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation – National Centre (KDSF-NC) launched its charity fundraiser, the Kiwanis Motor Treasure Hunt, longest running motor treasure hunt in the country hopes to raise awareness on the congenital disorder caused by an extra 21st chromosome.

A long-term supporter of KDSF-NC, LBS Foundation, returned for the 13th year as the gold sponsor, presenting RM30,000 to the KDSF-NC.

The launch of the Kiwanis Motor Treasure Hunt was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, YB Hannah Yeoh.

Program Penanaman dan Pemuliharaan Pokok di Hutan Simpan Raja Musa Bestari Jaya Daerah Kuala Selangor

Forests in Malaysia are said to be the oldest in the world. Major forest types in Malaysia are lowland dipterocarp forest, hill dipterocarp forest, upper hill dipterocarp forest, oak-laurel forest, montane ericaceous forest, peat swamp forest, and mangrove forest. One way to preserve these forest is by implementing the forest reserve system.

District and Land Office of Kuala Selangor have organised trees planting event at Raja Musa Bestari Jaya to preserve the forest reserve on 26 September 2018. LBS Foundation sponsored 500 trees and equipment for the trees planting event that includes more than 200 people from the government agency, colleges and schools from around Kuala Selangor participated in the activity.
