To raise awareness on this number 1 cancer disease among Malaysian women, LBS Foundation has conducted few activities involving LBS staff and media as well. Aside from distributing Pink Ribbon for the whole month, LBS Foundation also organised Breast Cancer Awareness Talk by Dr. Fairuz A’shikin Abdul Kadir, Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Avisena Specialist Hospital.

Kem Kesihatan Rakyat Wangsa Maju

Selangor Corporate Colour Run

Yayasan Al-Sultan (YASA) Dialysis Centre

LBS Foundation supporting the activities to improve the health and well-being of those within the B40 groups and contributed RM100,000 towards the Yayasan Al-Sultan Abdullah (YASA) Hemodialysis Center. The launch of the center was graced by His Majesty Seri Paduka Baginda Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Her Majesty Queen.

This event involves the participation of the public to raise fund for the needy group of kids where “Ajar – Ajar Malaysia” is one of the beneficiaries, a student education tuition aid programme for underprivileged children. The success of the this event will be very useful in bringing better education.

Conjunction with World Down Syndrome Day

In conjunction with World Down Syndrome Day which is observed on 21 March every year The Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation – National Centre (KDSF-NC) launched its charity fundraiser, the Kiwanis Motor Treasure Hunt, longest running motor treasure hunt in the country hopes to raise awareness on the congenital disorder caused by an extra 21st chromosome.

A long-term supporter of KDSF-NC, LBS Foundation, returned for the 13th year as the gold sponsor, presenting RM30,000 to the KDSF-NC.

The launch of the Kiwanis Motor Treasure Hunt was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, YB Hannah Yeoh.

Malaysia Charity Golf Event

LBSFoundation participated in the Lung Foundation Charity Golf Tournament. It was held in Tropicana Golf and Country Resort on 22nd July 2018. The tournamentis an opening for LBS Foundation to get involved in making difference in the quality of life for those touched by the respiratory diseases. Through funds raised, Lung Foundation will be able to purchase more respiratory support equipment such as oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders, portable ventilators and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices.

LBSFoundation has donated an amount of RM5000 to this charity golf tournament.

Blood Donation Campaign

LBS collaborated with associations such as The Federation of Malaysia Lim Associations, Petaling Jaya Business Association, Sungai Way Selangor Hokkien Association, Selangor & Kuala Lumpur Lim Clansmen Association (Women) and corporations e.g. SKVE Holdings SdnBhdto drive blood donation. This activity is to encourage the community to donate blood consistently to increase the blood bank supplies.
