This year CNY celebration may be different as many of us can’t travel back to our hometown like me. We can only do Virtual Lou Sang Lunch or Dinner and send CNY wishes to our family and friends!

Nevertheless, I wishes everyone an Ox-picious and Ong-some Niu 牛 Year, blessed with Ox-some Health, Prosperity and Happiness!

This year CNY is such a different for me, us and everyone. This is my first time in my life, I celebrated CNY without my family The feeling is very lonely and sad. All i can do is buy some CNY snacks and drinks, open up some CNY songs to cheer up myself. I only video call my family for greeting. Luckily I have my boyfriend who can celebrate together here. My cousin who lived in KL also invited me to their house. At least I have a few family members here. Hoping the pandemic fast disappeared in this world. 这是去年新年和家人围炉吃团圆饭的美食照好想念啊！流口水那时嘻嘻哈哈，吃得满头大汗，肚子都要爆了！哈哈哈！今年因为疫情关系，不能跨州回乡与家人过年只能一个人在家听新年歌，吃快餐过年希望疫情快点结束，好让我和家人团聚

For this CNY 2021, while some parents stay at home and work from home, I still go to work daily but this only means that I am able to appreciate time with my family and son even more ^.^

The photo below is a photo of my mum & I doing some spring cleaning to clear some toys to donate to charity for the less fortunate children.

This routine that we usually use to do with my late grandmother and grandfather where we would gather clothes, buy food/drinks, pick out toys and donate them to charity or to the less fortunate as a way to be thankful for what we have and to cheer up others however we can ☺️.

Every CNY, I miss my grandparents very dearly but I am very thankful that they passed away peacefully before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Regardless, they are always on my mind throughout every single thing we do.
